It was warm outside and since we had the air on in the house I figured she would enjoy her bath much more in the 80 degree weather outside.

Just in case...
you can't get enough of our little muffin here are some more pictures. I know her grandma and aunties (and adopted aunties) will enjoy them. Mike took the girls out to the park for a picnic yesterday and Violet and I had a photo session in honor of her one week birthday. She was supposed to fall asleep for these sweet pictures, but she didn't. She did however pee on the towel I had wrapped her in while getting everything ready, poop on my very favorite blanket and the carpet, and then pee again on said blanket. But hey, I got some cute pictures so it was worth a little extra laundry! We are all doing well and adjusting to having another sweet baby in our family. Rose held Violet for about a half hour today in the family room, while I made lunch in the kitchen. I kept asking her if she wanted me to take the baby but she said she was doing fine. It was so sweet to see my three girls sitting on the couch watching a DVD together.

Pearl thinks Violet will have blue eyes like her. She seems to resemble Rose's baby pictures. (Pearl does not even look like her own newborn pictures.

I love those little wrinkly arms.

I borrowed the wings from a porcelain doll.

My favorite picture of her so far!

Happy Father's Day!

Thursday, June 18, 2009

I am typing with one hand while I hold my sweet girl. We came home from the hospital on Tuesday, Violet was only 24 hours old. We got an early release in hopes of sleeping better without hospital noise and interruptions. Violet had other plans for our night though! She is eating well and I am trying to rest and recover while Mike and my mom take care of the "big" girls. Here are few hospital pictures, although I think she is already getting cuter by the minute!

Don't even ask THE ? !
If you could see me in person the answer would be obvious!
NO BABY YET!
The frustrating part is we were scheduled for an induction tomorrow (Thursday) and I just found out yesterday that I got bumped from the schedule. As of now we are re-scheduled for Monday for our new induction date. Praying she comes on her own before then.

I know what a blessing it is to still be pregnant. I am reminded that exactly a year ago today I was in the hospital having surgery as our baby had passed away after seeing a strong heartbeat. I am so thankful to God that this little girl (hopefully she will still be a girl when we see her in person SOON!) is doing well and kicking inside of me at thirty nine weeks! Praying she is out by 40 weeksas we can't wait to see her and hold her!

Fun with Friends
My friend Dawn was in the area visiting her parents and they invited us over. Grandmom Bergey lives about 35 minutes from us. The kids had fun visiting and enjoying all of the yummy food they shared with us. I should have took a picture of the delicious spread she had for us. They have a huge backyard and their neighbors have buffalo and horses.

All was well until adventurous Pearl tried to climb the rusty barbed wire fence and cut her hand. I was in the house and heard her crying. Have you ever seen a 10 month pregnant lady run really fast? Well, I didn't know it was possible but it is! I may not be able to waddle to the bathroom in the middle of the night but I can sprint if my baby gets hurt.

As you can tell it is quite far to the back of their yard.

Georgia is exactly a year older then Rose

Pearl with Jude (he is just two months younger then Rose, her kids are close in age)
