Please join me in praying for baby Stellan.
As I sit here holding my precious baby I can only imagine the pain and fear Stellan's family is experiencing as they fear losing their little miracle boy too soon. Stellan was born with a severe heart defect and was expected to die inutero he miracuosly survived and appeared perfectly healthy for four months, at that point his heart problem was rediscovered and he had heart surgery. He had been remaining stable until recelty when his medication was no longer working. He is currently in very critical condition and being airlifted from Minnesota to Children's Hospital in Boston (where his cardioligists is). To keep up with his story click on the praying for Stellan link on the upper right of my blog or follow his mom on Twitter.

Chumba Wumba Baby
Mike calls Violet "Chumba Wumba", because she is getting so big and has little rolls. I have been avoiding putting away her 0-3 months clothes since she is only one month (and a week). Yesterday we went to the doctor and she weighed in at 11 pounds 14 ounces! I can't believe my one month old weighs almost 12 pounds. She is 97% for weight and 95% for height, 23 inches, although I never take to much stock in height as it is difficult to be very accurate when they are laying down squirming. I am glad that she is healthy and growing however I wish she would stay tiny for a little while longer. She is also starting to smile and has been sleeping a little better, that we are ready for!

Violet Anne is One month old!

Here is her one month picture!
(see hospital picture below to see how much she has grown)

One day old

Awake and not crying or eating!

We tried so hard to get a picture of her without her brow furrowed but since she usually has it furrowed this is actually what she looks like a lot.

Getting some cute baby rolls.

We all love having sweet Miss Violet in our lives each day! She is just starting to smile a little and loves her big sisters as much as they love her. She is a little spoiled and loves to be held but sleeps well at night in her own room (except when she wakes up to eat a few times). She looks a lot like her big sister Rose, but definitely got her hairdo from her daddy!

How to Make a Flag Cake
by Rose and Pearl

(this is a true picture of our girls' different personalities)

Rose- Use a spatula and spread the Cool Whip on.
Pearl- Use your hand and make sure you get a lot of extra Cool Whip on it so you will have it for the next step

Rose- Keep spreading the Cool Whip with the spatula.
Pearl- Taste the Cool Whip.
Make sure you have chips and guacamole in your other hand so you don't run out of food.

Rose- Carefully place the strawberries in straight lines.
Pearl- Taste the strawberries to make sure they are good.

Rose- Put the next strawberry right here
Pearl- Lick the strawberry

Rose- Be patient with your little sister.
Pearl- Put the licked strawberry on the part of the cake where you sampled the whipped cream. Make sure this is a big area so it will be designated as your "PIECE" of cake!

Rose- Try to get your sister to save some strawberries for the cake!
Pearl- MMM!!!

Rose- TADA! Our lovely flag cake.
Pearl- Find something else to taste (ugh I mean make)!

These pictures are two weeks old, new ones coming soon!

Congratulations to our friends Debra, Jeff and Anna Rose on the birth of their adorable twin boys! Stewart and Silas (aka Violet's boyfriends) were born 8 weeks early, please pray they that they continue to grow, eat, and breathe on their own so they can go home soon.
Here is a link to their blog check out the cute pictures and don't forget to scroll down to see their adorable "big" sister Anna Rose.

I love my country The United States!
Here is a short video of Rose singing a patriotic song at her preschool program. I love her ending!

Red, White and Blueberry Festival
Sunday we went to Hammonton, NJ - the Blueberry Capitol of the world. They were holding their annual blueberry festival. This was Violet's first big outing and she did great.

Rosey after she came down the giant bounce house slide! I think she liked it!

Pearl not so sure of the bounce house (notice she is holding onto Mike's hand through the net).

Violet slept through most of the festival.

The girls staying cool under the tent.

Violet hanging out in the pouch sling.

We cooled off with some yummy popsicles from an old fashioned Ice Cream truck.

We got brave and tried this little pit stop for barbecue.
They are actually smoking the Pork in that little barrel by the road.

Mike waiting for our tasty BBQ!
