"An Amish Tattoo"

Yesterday Rose applied a few "My Little Pony" tattoos to her arms and legs. When Pearl woke up from her nap Rose wanted to share some tattoos with her little sister. Rose said to Pearl "Pearl do you want an Amish tattoo?". After I tried to hide my smile I quickly figured out why she was calling them Amish tattoos, but just to be sure I asked her. She said "Amish people have horse and buggies" and her tattoo was of a pony. I explained to her that Amish girls probably do not wear tattoos because they are not allowed to wear fancy things like make-up, jewelry, and princess crowns. Later that evening I referred to Pearl's Amish tattoo and Rose said "Amish people don't wear tattoos." Mike asked her why and she said "because they did not have tattoos in the old days." Next week we are going to Lancaster and I am sure every time I see a little Amish girl I will be wondering if she has a "My Little Pony" tattoo hiding under her long dark dress.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun! I have been trying to come up with a new title for my blog. A few days ago Rose turned on the radio to dance and the song "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" started playing. Rose enjoyed dancing to it. She is all dressed up in her coincidentally Cindi Lauperish outfit. Let's just hope Cindi is kinder then Prince and I dont get sued for posting this video.

Last weekend we went to WV for my Grandfather's memorial service. He passed away in March. Prior to that I actually had more living granparents then my girls. Now I have two and so do they. The service was very nice, my grandfather had actually fought in three wars WWII, The Vietnam and the Korean War. My Nephew, Ben, my niece, Brooklyn and my grandmother (dad's mom) Hazel.

We tried to get picture of the kids with their great-grandmother but this was as good as it gets. My niece and nephew are tall for their age (almost nine and seven) and my grandmother is a very tiny lady. PS The cute matching dresses my girls are wearing are from my sister-in-law, April, she loves to spoil them and I am thankful since she has great taste.

We celebrated my niece's 9th Birthday a few weeks early.

Look MAAA! At one point Pearl had half of her hand in the goats mouth while he was gently chewing the grass without biting her.

Rose was so proud of herself for being brave enough to feed the goats.

Yesterday I got a speeding ticket! I was going 41 in a 25 but it was down hill and there where about six cops pulling over every single car. I was so frustrated I started to cry and Rose says to me "Mommy if you don't go fast the police won't stop you!" Out of the mouths of babes!

If any of you keep up with Tricia and Nate's blog please be in prayer right now. Tricia is getting her new lungs!! Praise God that she will be able to spend time watching her sweet baby grow up. If you haven't read their story Tricia has CF and found out she was pregnant days before she was to be put on the Transplant list the doctors all told her to terminate the pregnancy because the risks for her life and the baby's were so high. She trusted God and Gwyneth was delivered by an emergency C-section 15 weeks early. Without a lung transplant Tricia's life expectancy was only a year.
