FRIDAY FAVORITES
"Ricky's Candy, Cones, and Chaos"

Ricky's puts a smile on our faces!

I scream.. You scrEAM... WE ALL SCREAM!!!!

With all you can eat make it yourself sundae toppings who wouldn't love this place?

The waffle cone shaped chairs are so cute.

They have candy galore!

They have cute candy oriented shows such as the episode of
"I Love Lucy" in the chocolate factory.

The fun music blares songs such as "I want Candy" and "Lollipop Lollipop".

Check out these GIANT Pez dispensers.

Although we live very close to Ricky's (too close) we actually don't go there very often. This particular day we had just finished up some shopping and were returning to the car when Pearl announced she had to go potty. I did what any good mother would do and "ran" her into the closest store. I couldn't help the fact that it was a sweet lovers heaven. I also did what any good mother would do and bought the girls ice cream even though it was a little after noon and they had not had lunch yet.
PS The Restrooms are just as cute and colorful as the store and very clean. I may just have to remember that next time we are out shopping and someone has to go!

I have been tagged by my friend Dawn to answer these questions and post a picture of myself and my kids. I tag my Friends Emilie and Emily (who both happened to be married to a Chris) to copy this post and answer the questions.

1. How many children do you have? 2

2. What are their ages? Rose is almost 4 and Pearl is going to be 2.

3. What time do you start your day? 6:30, Pearl wanders into our room dragging her blanky and bunny

4. What do you eat for breakfast? not much, sometimes oatmeal or a yogurt.

5. Do your kids watch TV? Yes, but I am pretty picky about what they are allowed to watch. It usually has to be educational. My two favorites right now are Super Why and Sid the Science Kid (both on PBS)

6. What are their favorite activities? Pearl - hitting biting and timeout. J/K They like to play together, Rose is very creative and makes up all kinds of stories and Pearl follows along.

7. Do you get a break during the day for some you time? Nap time. If one of them fails to take a nap I go crazzy.

8. How do you end your day? Watch TV in our new comfy KING Bed!

9. What is your best parenting advice or tip? Be consistent. Children really want guidelines. Also try to focus on the bigger picture or goal in why we discipline. I am trying to keep in mind that my ultimate goal is to teach my children to exemplify Christ's love to one another.

Back From the Beach!
Hi from Sea Isle City, NJ

One of many attempts to get a family photo for our Christmas Card. We did get a great photo but it will not appear on the blog, you'll have to wait until Christmas.

My mom, also known as Mim, came along for a few days. She was our nanny and photographer.

P getting a piggyback ride and enjoying her tasty thumb.

R&P finishing up their sandcastle!
Pretty good aren't they?;)

Yummy Summer Treats!
Rose enjoying her chocolate covered Strawberry.

Pearl enjoying a frozen chocolate covered banana and a strawberry!

If you haven't made frozen chocolate covered bananas in awhile you should try them. We just got a kit at the grocery store near the bananas. I am sure you could use chocolate chips. The trick is to only freeze the banana for about 30-45 minutes and then dip it. If you freeze the banana for more then an hour it will be rock hard. They also really only taste good the first day you make them after that the bananas get smushy.
