Double Trouble!
These are the pictures I usually make sure never get on my blog! But today I am coming out of the messy closet. It only takes my girls about ten minutes to make this mess. Trying to keep the house clean is like walking up a down escalator. The problem is the more time I spend cleaning the less supervised they are, thus more messes. They are much faster at messing then I am at cleaning. I tell Mike "You have no idea how hard I work to keep the house looking this bad!"
The clothes on the floor were neatly folded but I guess they thought I had nothing better to do then fold them all again.

They actually have a playroom and this is not it! But the toys and the kids seem to migrate to the living room. We are going to try moving our playroom to downstairs off of the kitchen to see if that helps solve the problem. That way if they try bringing the toys through the kitchen I can just stop them in their tracks. If that doesn't work you may see my kids on Ebay soon. Just kidding I wouldn't trade these little rascals for all the clean mansions in the world.
Here they are after deciding that markers make good lipstick. I just had to get a picture before I sent them to time out! I am not sure whose idea this was but often Pearl begins the mess and Rose jumps right in. Rose really never made to many messes when she was Pearl's age she is just getting to many "good" ideas form Pearl.

I wish I was here today! This is one of my favorite places. Mike and I went here on our last pre-kid trip a few months before Rose was born. There is a beautiful walk along the cliff. The ocean is on one side of you and amazing old mansions are on the other side. You are surrounded by lovely roses and hydrangeas and the most beautiful views you could imagine. If you don't feel like walking you can take a ride along twelve mile Ocean drive with another breathtaking view of the ocean and more mansions. One other great way to experience Newport is by boat and my lucky parents are doing that today! They are getting ready to go out on a sail boat with my mom's cousin and sail around Newport. I hope they enjoy this beautiful day and I wish I could be a fly on their boat today! If you want to plan a trip to Newport or just drool over some amazing scenery here is a link: http://www.gonewport.com/

Kung-Fu Daddy
This morning as Rose was brushing her teeth she told me about a dream she had last night. This is the first time that she has really told us in much detail about one of her dreams. Here it is in her own words. "In my dream Daddy was dressed up as Kung Fu Panda. Mommy said after we went to the ball pit we would go see Daddy dressed up as Kung-Fu Panda. Daddy was in his office at work. He was on the phone and writing on his computer wearing the Kung Fu Panda costume. I was nervous of Daddy dressed up as Kung-Fu Panda at first. Then after I saw him I wasn't nervous. Daddy took off his costume because my sister was really really nervous."
Rose has not seen the movie Kung-Fu Panda although she does have the Happy Meal toys. We left the Kung-Fu Panda Happy Meal toy in our car for a while and every time we went over a bump or turned quickly we would hear "HII-YA!"

This picture of Mike holding Rose is from 2 years ago. Notice how she is blocking her ears.

This picture of me holding Pearl blocking her ears reminded me of the photo of Rose above. Both girls wore this star dress at their first fourth of July at eight months old and then again the next year at 20 months old. The funny thing is the dress is supposed to be size 3-6 months. We sure got our use out of this dress.

Cousins Ben and Rose

Brooklyn and Pearl

Pearl was getting ready to swipe the strawberry which she did a second later. Her nickname from a very early age has been swiper.

Rose getting brave with the sparkler.

Cousins lighting their sparklers together.

Daddy and the girls.

The Sunday before fourth of July.

Walking with my brother Jacob and his kids through the rose garden.

This humid weather is making my sweet baby's hair curl up even more.

My nephew Ben was sitting with the girls at the zoo. He put his arms around the girls and I grabbed my camera as fast as I could to snap this precious photo.

This is my kindergarten picture. I was about 4 1/2 .

Here is my Rosie Posie at 3 1/2.

I think this one is so cute because we both have our ponytails a little lower on the same side. (Thanks Aunt April for taking this cute shot.)

Cousins
The girls and I visited my mom's cousin and her daughters and some of her granddaughters.
The sweet little lady in the fromt is my grandmother's sister Arinda. She will be turning 88 this week.

Olivia is just a few weeks older then Pearl.

A new way to serve tea!

Rose and Lydia having a real tea party.

Donna and my mom with their granddaughters. The little girls are (from lt-rt)
Isabella, Olivia, Pearl, Rose, Lydia and Margot
The girls were trying to figure out their official "cousin" status. Does anyone know how the second cousin, third cousin, cousin once removed works. If you do let me know because I can't figure it all out.
