Girls with Curls.
When Rose started getting hair it came in with curls, now Pearl at about the same age is getting curls also. They get it from their Mama. When I was a little girl I had a head full of ringlets.

Happy Birthday Mim! My mom turned 60 this week! Those of you that know my mom you know she is a free spirit and loves to talk! If you haven't met her you are missing out. Here is a video that makes our family laugh. My parents were visiting us in FL and it was February so thankfully we had the beach to ourselves otherwise those watching may have thought my mom was off her rocker!

Happy New Year! My favorite memories from 2007 have been watching my girls become best friends. Rose has fed Pearl her bottle, helped change her diaper, put her socks on, taught her sign language, pushed her in her swing, brought her bunny to her when she cries, fed her baby food, taught her new words, helped her use the potty, clapped for her when she walked. Pearl has made Rose laugh, taught her to share, taught her to be gentle, tickled her, hugged her, and kissed her. Now they play dolls together, dress-up like princesses, have tea parties, snuggle up for bedtime stories with daddy, and wake-up every morning asking for their "sister". It is such a blessing to watch these sweet girls fall in love with each other.

I have so many pictures from Christmas, especially since we went to NYC. Here are some pictures from Macy's at Christmas. They really know how to do it up right. The girls loved going on the trip to the North Pole to see Santa. There were elves and trains and many other decorations while we were waiting in line.

Baby Micah
Our friends Mark (Mike's former roommate) and Jennie just gave birth to their second son, Micah. Micah has been diagnosed with Down Syndrome and had surgery to repair his Duodenum at only two days old. Please pray for him as he recovers in the NICU. Please pray for Jennie as she recovers from her c-section. Also their two year old Nathan is not feeling well and has not been able to see his mom for fear of passing germs on to the baby. Here are more Christmas photos. My parents came down on Christmas day and we had fun hanging out and playing with the girls. The girls were both really into dancing to the Christmas music and every time I would put the music on Pearl would grab my hands and say dance. Notice the fancy shoes Pearl is trying to walk in so she can keep up with he big sister Princess Rose.

Please pray for a miracle for Tricia and baby Gwyneth (wt# 1 lb 6oz) to survive today and get stronger. Tricia is a 24 year old woman with Cystic Fibrosis, her and her husband discovered they were pregnant the day before she was to be put on the list for a double lung transplant. They chose to continue the pregnancy against doctors advice that it would detrimental to her health. Tricia got to 24 weeks pregnant and her body could not handle it, she literally could not breath. Yesterday (Tues) doctors (there were 75 people in the OR) performed an emergency C-section on Tricia. She and baby Gwyneth survived the surgery but are both in very critical condition particularly Tricia. The doctor told her father-in-law that her chances of survival are iffy at best. Update: Thanks to thousands of prayers Tricia and baby Gwyneth are stable and making progress. They continue to need lots of prayers and time to heal and grow. Here is a cool picture of baby Gwyneth with her dad. (from his blog) I just love seeing the photos of how tiny she is and what a miracle a new baby is.

Oh My Pumpkin Pie!
Pearl discovered that Pumpkin Cheesecake is a great conditioning shampoo! Here is a before picture of her hair. She only wore the cute bow for about 5 seconds. You may notice she is not wearing a bib, after she yanked it off for the fourth time we gave up on the bib, perhaps a shower cap would be better to put on her for meals anyway. At least she did try to "clean up" with her napkin!
