Happy Valentine's Day! Sorry I haven't written much lately. I am still trying to adjust to having two kids while trying to unpack, not to mention keep the house clean and the girls, clean and fed and Mike had been traveling a few nights a week. I finally found my camera cord to post pics. It was nice having the movers pack for us however it makes it alot harder to locate needed items. We had to laugh at some of the things it said on the boxes. One box said Fax machine (we don't have one, it was our printer) Earth-moon turned out to be our globe, not sure what the moon had to do with a globe, shirded=paper shredder. Other boxes have turned out be labeled totally wrong, such as box that said kitchen dishes and turned out to be toiletries. EVERYTHING was wrapped in tons of paper regardless of whether it was fragile. The othe day MIke was unwrapping and unwrapping and unwrapping a huge wad of newsprint paper, when he finally got through all of the paper it turned out to be two pens and a marker, glad it was wrapped so safely.

I just typed a whole paragraph on the girls, however Pearl is sitting on my lap while I type somehow managed to delete it. She is starting to get quite good at grabbing things with her hands. I will catch up on the girls next time as I better try to get something done before Rose wakes up.

PS It is snowing and snowing here today it is really pretty, but only a few inches, not the 1-2 feet that they were predicting a few days ago. Mike and I were kind of dissapointed as we were ready for a full on blizzard.

Merry Christmas

Monday, December 18, 2006

How time flies. It has been awhile since I have updated my blog, although Mike did add pictures of our new house (see previous post below). Pearl turned two months old yesterday. She is smiling and cooing alot which is very appreciated when she still wakes me up every three hours to eat, not that she needs to. She had her check-up today and is 11 1/2 pounds and 23 3/4 inches (95%) I did not believe her height so I measured her at home and came up with the same. I guess she is going to be tall like her daddy.
P.S. Pearl did sleep seven hours one night however Rose decided to wake up crying that night.

Rose has been enjoying all of the Christmas decorations and lights. Every time we go to a store, church etc. She will say "Its Christmas in...( Target or church)!" In spite of the fact that we will be moving two days after Christmas we decided to get a tree and it has been worth the effort. We are trying to impress upon Rose that there is more to the Christmas season then lights and presents. She is excited about making a cake for baby Jesus but I must say somehow she has become quite fond or (shall I say obsessed) of/with Santa.

The pictures include some of the festivites we have partaken in the past few weeks, including a Christmas party with my mom's group, The Candy cane parade at Hollywood Beach, my parents visiting/watching the girls in PA while we went house hunting, celebrating my 34th birthday (we actually signed our house contract on my birthday, so Mike said he bought me a house for my birthday, wonder what he'll get me next year?), picking out our Christmas tree, and attempting to get both girls smiling for a Christmas card photo. (no luck there)

May you take the time to pause and enjoy this wonderful season through the eyes of a child once again. Whether it is slowing down as you drive by decorated house, savoring the tasty seasonal delicacies without thinking of calories, rocking around your Christmas tree as you sing along with you favorite holiday tunes, or pondering the most precious gift ever as you celebrate the birth of our Saviour.

Our new house!

Last weekend, we traveled to Philadelphia to house hunt. After a very LONG weekend, we are glad to say we put an offer on a house in Broomall, PA (just west of the city in a very central location between work, center city and the airport). We are still ironing out the details, but we are excited about calling this place home. Rose is very excited and is often talking about playing in her backyard and taking a nap in her new room.
Pictures are:
-front of house (sorry it's off center)
-living & dining room--main level
-family room/den/office (not sure)--lower level
-bonus room/play room that exits to the back yard--main level
-kitchen (needs some HGTV work)--main level
-Rose's bedroom--upper level
-one of the bathrooms--upper level
