Lotsa o' Leaves.
We have a huge tree that lost its leaves a few days after Thanksgiving. It was lots of work to rake it but lots of fun to play in the leaves. This was our first fall in three years.
Thanksgiving was a very warm day here. The girls had fun playing outside in the leaves with my mom, while Mike and finished getting the feast ready. A friend of mine made the cute shirts for our little Turkeys. Pearl's tummy looks like she already enjoyed the yummy food but this is her everyday tummy as she eats like it is thanksgiving on a daily basis.
My brother Chris is a great singer and does a lot of musicals. Last weekend Mike and I got a chance to go to one of his shows.
Rose has lovely curls that get all tangled up every day and take about ten minutes to brush out occasionally create some tears. In order to solve this I decided to get her hair trimmed and layered. Of course the day we were going to get it cut she had a really great hair day, tempting me not to to get it cut, after all for the first two years of her life I couldn't wait for her to get hair. We occasionally eat at a restaurant near Kids Kuts and she peeks in the window when we walk by. So last week when I mentioned that we were going to get her haircut, I was planning on taking her to Great Clips, however she reminded me of Kid's Kuts and asked if we could go there. I was hesitant, imagining that it would be a bit expensive, however it was only $12. It was well worth it as she was very well behaved sitting on her little horse and watching "The Little Mermaid" while she got her haircut. Pearl just sat and watched Rose. Pearl is getting a few curls in the back now too! Rose keeps saying this means we can get her haircut now, no way we are waiting until it gets long.
Food for thought...
Mike's coworkers "suprised" him with this handsome birthday cake! I am not sure who came up with the idea to put his likeness on the cake. It would have been cute maybe for a baby's first birthday, but for an adult?!? One of his coworkers told him "I feel like we are at your funeral... Mike was such a nice guy." Now why would you have cake with a picture of someone on it for a funeral? That is even more odd then having his face on a birthday cake! He said different people were eating his eyes, ears, nose, mouth, etc. weird, huh? Seems like we may see this on an episode of office in the coming months. 
Happy birthday Daddy!
Today is Mike's 34th birthday. unfortunately he is away on a trip for work. I tried to take some pics. of the girls to email him. Pearl did not feel like cooperating although she kept saying Daddy Daddy. Rose tried pretty hard to "help" get a picture with Pearl in it but we didn't have much luck. We are going to Target this afternoon to get their Christmas pics. taken, I hope that goes a little better and Rose does not have the death grip on Pearl's neck in our Christmas Photos. PS- The cute dresses are compliments of Uncle Jacob (my brother) and Aunt April. Thanks for spoiling our girls Uncle Jake and Aunt April.
Our two little pumpkin babies enjoyed the Halloween evening with neighbors. Pearl was dressed as a bunny because she is very attached to a stuffed bunny and carries it with her everywhere. Rose was Cinderella, because she is three and loves princesses. We have a very friendly safe neighborhood so it was fun to go trick or treating and rose was glad that she did not see any scary costumes. 
Pearl officially turned one on Weds. We celebrated with my parents and of course took more pictures. When Rose turned one I took her picture in my wedding dress and wanted to continue the tradition every year on her birthday. I did not do it last year as I had a little on my mind and a lot in my tummy trying to get ready for Miss Pearl's arrival. This year on Pearl's B-day we took out my wedding dress and took a few pics. Rose was really cooperative as she was so excited to get to wear mommy's wedding dress. Pearl could care less and I really did not get any great pictures of her in it but may try again next week when she is feeling better. The girls both have yucky colds right now.
