Rose's Second Birthday Party! Today we celebrated Rose's birthday with a Nemo party at the beach. We just had a few church friends as we know we could have the baby any day. It was very hot but we had a great time especially when we went down to the water to cool off. Rose even had a special guest, an iguana that wanted to join the party. We also enjoyed the Latin Hip Hop music provided by another nearby party. Keep checking back we'll be sure to post pics. of the baby on here when she arrives. Rose's actual birthday is Weds. the 11th so who knows maybe the baby will want to share her sister's birthday. Auntie Grandma (Mike's sister-in-law) and Uncle poppa are coming on Tuesday to celebrate Rose's birthday. My mom will be coming on Sunday the 15th to help when the baby is born so we are looking forward to our visitors.

1. Mike and I got a babysitter last night and went to South Beach with some friends. Here is a pic. of us in front of Emeril's restaurant, where we ate dinner.

2. Rose has "stolen" our blanket for her own and she prefers to sleep with her head totally under the covers, here's a sweet pic. with her face peeking out.

3. & 4. Mike got tickets through work to see Disney on Ice. Rose enjoyed watching the show. It was her idea to put pink bows in her hair like Minnie Mouse. Rose's friend Avery (and his parents) joined us for the show. Avery loves to hug (ok sometimes tackle) Rose hugs him back and it is so cute.

5. Beach baby, this pic. is from a few weeks ago when we stayed at the Sheraton in Miami.

Yesterday during my doctor appointment we got a sneak peek at the newest member of the family. She is head down already so her face is a little smushed into my hip but we still thought this was a cute pic. It was much better then Rose's 3-D pics. as she looked like an alien and I threw the picture out. (Sorry it is a little blurry as it is a pic. of the ultrasound photo.)

We took a mini vacation over Labor day weekend. Thanks to priceline we stayed 2 night at the Sheraton in Miami and went to the Miami Children's Museum, Key Largo and of course the hotel swimming pools and the beach. Rose had a great time at the museum and enjoyed pretending to grocery shop, she already loves to swipe the credit card. She also had fun with daddy in the museum's recording studio. She literally ate the mic. which I am sure is covered in germs from all of the other children that do the same thing. (I guess that could account for her cold this week.) Just wanted to add these pics. before I send my computer in for some work it could be awhile before I get it back.

Well it has been way too long since I last updated the Blog. I have tons of pics. to share I just have been too lazy to put them up. We are all doing well and growing, well Rose and Rachel are growing:) Rose's personality is developing more and more each day. She is becoming very independent and always saying to us "by yourself" which really means "I want to do it all by MYSELF!" I am 32 weeks pregnant so definitely on the home stretch. YEAH! The baby is due Oct. 24th and Rose will turn two on Oct. 11th, (she has already hit the terrible two milestone though). Mike and I will begin attending a parenting class next week at our church and the timing is just right as we are being tested daily:) Rose is actually a very good girl we just need to learn to channel her strong willed personality into a strength without breaking her wonderful spirit. Any way here are few fun and yes we think cute pics to share. Before long Rose will have to be sharing the spotlight with her sister but for now she is the only little princess in our house. (Well occasionally she makes Mike dress up like a princess too.) Mike and I celebrated our fifth anniversary a few weeks ago. We went to the Melting Pot for dinner and then took a quick (it started to look stormy) walk on the beach, this is one nice advantage to living in FL.

Happy Birthday America!
We had alot of fun celebraitng Fourth of July with Rose. We sang many patriotic songs as she played her instruments and waved her flags. Rose also helped cut out and decorate star cookies. She thinks every cake or cookie needs a candle so she can blow it, so of course we lit (and relit) a candle and sang "Happy Birthday to America" (about 6 times)! That evening we went over to Rose's little boyfriend, Avery's house for a cookout and to watch fireworks. Some small fireworks are legal in FL, however most of the ones that we saw set off in the neighborhood were NOT legal but were very beautiful. Rose loved the fireworks but was not fond of the pop, pop, pop, so she put her fingers in her ears.

Thought I would share some pics. of the new little girl (yes we have a name for her... but it will be a surprise) as Rose seems to dominate the blog. We don't have a scanner so I actually just took pics. of the ultrasound pics so they are a little blury. These are from about two weeks ago. We also go confirmation that she is still a girl. Two of the pics are her profile and one of her little foot. That little foot must be pushing on my belly button as it is already popping out;) Too bad it isn't like a turkey timer telling me she is done already! Rose likes to talk about her sister and wants to share food, toys and blankets with the baby it is very cute. She is going to be a great big sister.

Cousins at the beach! Rachel's brothers children Brooklyn (7yo) and Ben (5yo).Rachel's mom got them all white outfits for a beach photoshoot. All was going well until a huge wave came and knocked down my sister in law who was holding a camera as my mom and I tried to help her up and save the camera Rose fell down in the freezing cold water and her cousins who had been holding her hands took off running without her.

Picking (and eating) strawberries... Rose did pretty well picking the ripe strawberries, she liked picking the "white" strawberries so she could throw them.
