Thanksgiving in Savannah... We have many wonderful things to be thankful for this year of course the new addition to our family, Pearl Girl, tops our list as does our Rosie Posie. Rose often tells us "I made you happy." when she does something, little does she know that she makes us happy just by being her and because she is our little girl. This reminds me of another thing I am thankful for, the unconditional love of our Heavenly Father who loves us not for what we do (or don't do) but because we are His precious children. We are also very thankful for Family and friends that live near and far away. We were able to spend some time with our friends, the Clymer's, over Thanksgiving. Rose had a great time playing dressup ballerina/princess with Stella and playing handyman with Adam and his tools. We had fun visiting with Suzie and Justin and introducing the babies. We climbed 178 steps up to the top of Tybee Island Lighthouse with five children. It was a gorgeous clear day and the view was magnificent. THe highlight of the trip for Mike was eating at Paula Dean's (from the food network) restaurant. He had to get in line at 9:00 and waited an hour just to make lunch reservations. The food was as Southern and fattening as you would expect and just as yummy. The grand finale for our trip was the Christmas Boat Parade topped off by fireworks. We had a great time, although we all came down with a stomach bug on the ride home. Rose threw up in the car, which was a first for us, lovely when we had four more hours to get home or so we thought the trip home which should have been about 8 hours took 11 hours due to traffic. We spent yesterday recuperating form our sickness and tomorrow the movers are coming to look at all our stuff for the move. December is going to be a very busy month for us.

Pearl is one month old already. On Friday we took her for her one month check-up. She weighs in at 10 lbs. She is starting to coo and we have even had a few real smiles out of her. We are enjoying watching her personality develop. Each month I will be taking a picture of her in the same chair with the same stuffed animal. (I will include Rose's one month picture as well so you try to figure out if they look alike, we are not sure yet. Rose is wearing the red pants, Pearl is in the summer/Florida outfit.) The monogrammed bloomers are a gift from our friends Debra and Jeff, from Nashville, every little southern girl needs her monogram on her derriere.

Rose and Pearl are exactly two years apart and it was two years ago when we got word that we would be moving to South Florida with our new baby, Rose. This week we found out that we will be leaving Florida and moving up north to Pennsylvania. Mike has been working very hard in the marketing department and is being promoted to Regional Marketing Manager. He will be covering Pennsylvania, New Jersey and upstate New York. We will be moving to the Philadelphia suburbs, not far from Valley Forge, at the end of the year. While we will miss our friends here, being so close to the beach, and the warm weather in January, I will not miss the rude and reckless drivers, or lugging my groceries and two kids up three flights of stairs. We are also looking forward to being able to purchase our first home and having a yard for the girls. I lived in the same area of Pennsylvania when I was growing up but moved away when I was 13 years old. I am looking forward to taking the girls to some of my favorite childhood spots, at least the ones that are still there.

We are adjusting to life with two sweet little girls. Mike has been traveling a lot this week so I have been holding down the fort by myself. The girls are clean and fed, but the house is another story... anyway there is always time to take pics. to remember the girls at this stage. The trick is to take cute pics. to remember what the girls look like without getting pictures of what the house looks like, something we won't want to remember. Well that is all the time I have to write as Rose has woke up form her nap and is calling to get out of her bed. Enjoy the pics.

Halloween treats! Rose was excited this year to dress up for Halloween. She was a princess-ballerina. She got to trick-or-treat at two of our neighbors houses (apartments) and then we went to church party. She thought it as so cool that you knock on someone's door and they give you candy. The church party had a bounce house and pony rides. Rose enjoyed her first pony ride, and much to our surprise she was not at all afraid. Pearl did not really know much was going on, but it was her 2 week birthday already so I dressed her as an angel and took a few more pics. (any excuse to take a pic).
